SGI CANADA uses this service to provide you website information relevant to your location. In order to provide this functionality, MaxMind collects your computer's or device's IP address, postal code and other user-agent related data normally transmitted when accessing websites. MaxMind retains this information in the United States and United Kingdom. Results are secured and only available to staff with a need to access such data. Sterling Talent Solutions
To provide background screening services on SGI CANADA employees and potential hires, SGI CANADA uses Sterling Talent Solutions. Sterling Talent Solutions is a Canadian company, however billing data is stored in the United States. As a result, the name and the type of background screening service performed will be transferred and stored in the United States in order to provide detailed billing to SGI CANADA. All other personal information collected is used and stored in Canada only. Any questions regarding this may be directed to our Privacy Department.
SurveyGizmo
SGI CANADA uses SurveyGizmo to collect user feedback on our websites, applications and services. In addition to your survey responses, in order to ensure the quality of data collected and avoid duplicate responses, SurveyGizmo and SGI CANADA collect your computer's or device's IP address, geolocation, and the first 3 digits of the postal code. This information is retained by SurveyGizmo in the United States, as well as SGI CANADA in Canada. Results are password protected and only available to staff selected to analyze the data. In some instances, if your broker is quoting a small business commercial product, they may be using a platform configured by Instanda. Instanda is a policy administration and quoting platform that SGI CANADA has partnered with to provide fast, online service for our brokers. Data collected for quoting purposes such as business name and address, and other business information is stored in the platform which is hosted on Microsoft Azure located in the United States. Xactware Solutions, Inc.
If you have elected to use Contractor Connection as part of your general insurance claim, to provide this service, SGI CANADA must share your name, address, and phone number with Contractor Connection and Xactware Solutions, Inc., the company that owns the Xactimate® estimating software. This information is retained by Xactware in the United Sates. Any questions regarding same may be directed to our Privacy Department.
